Beit Lehi Museum & Visitor Center

Overview:

For this project, I collaborated with a team of three (myself, Braden Swan, and Sierra Somerville) to design a museum and visitor center near the Beit Lehi archaeological site in Israel. The challenge was to develop a design that was sensitive to the landscape, nearby architectural sites, and the blend of cultures and religions that are local to the area. We came up with a simple, stone-clad building that is sensitive to the landscape, which is monumental, yet blends into the landscape.

The visitor center was thoughtfully designed to accommodate large crowds while providing ample space for artifact analysis. While I contributed to all aspects of the project, my primary focus was on floor plan programming, elevation design in Revit, and creating some watercolors.
